The Project Aim

RedeeM aims to implement an integrated water governance strategy to prevent conflicts between water, energy, food and environment sectors.

To achieve this, it prioritises competing water uses and adopts nature-based-solutions along with innovative technological solutions to increase water availability and avoid desertification.

Starting with a full mapping of local water–energy–food–ecosystem links, RedeeM gathers partners from eleven countries to equip regions with the tools to make smarter, climate-aware decisions. It tests hands-on solutions: solar-powered irrigation, drone-based monitoring, riparian restoration, green infrastructure to cut evaporation.

These pilots feed into a practical toolkit and governance strategy designed for replication. To scale things up, RedeeM creates serious games, dialogue spaces, and a stakeholder platform, turning technical planning into a shared mission across sectors.
